Saudi Arabia Announces New Umrah Visa Rules for Pakistani Pilgrims in 2026

06 Jan, 2026

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has released new Umrah visa regulations for the 2026 season, directly impacting pilgrims traveling from Pakistan. The update aims to manage increasing pilgrim traffic while improving safety, transparency, and digital verification for international visitors.

According to official sources, Umrah visa issuance for the Islamic year 1447 AH resumes from June 11, 2025, following the completion of Hajj operations. Pilgrims can continue performing Umrah until the end of Ramadan 1448 AH, expected around March or April 2026. All travelers must enter Saudi Arabia before the final cut-off dates announced by authorities.

A major development this year is the mandatory use of the Nusuk Masar digital platform, which requires confirmed hotel bookings, flights, and permits before visa approval. This system ensures better crowd management and prevents unauthorized travel arrangements.

Pakistani pilgrims are strongly advised to plan early and book Umrah packages only through authorized and verified travel operators. Delays in documentation or incomplete bookings may result in visa rejection. Travel experts, including UmrahOne.pk, recommend staying updated with official announcements and securing arrangements well in advance to avoid last-minute issues.
